Office Policies
Appointments
Please call our office to schedule any appointments and our front desk staff will accommodate your desired time to the best of their ability. You can also request an appointment through our Patient Portal. We understand occasional circumstances prevent you from keeping your scheduled appointment. If possible, please notify our office in advance if you are running late or unable to make your appointment. Our scheduling coordinators will do their best to re-schedule you promptly. We offer separate sick and well waiting areas for your convenience.
Cancellation Policy
Appointments allow our doctors and staff to provide dedicated attention to our patients needs. Therefore, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy. A $25 fee will be charged for all missed appointments or appointments not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.
Arriving Late to Visits
Patients who are more than 15 minutes late for their scheduled appointment may be asked to reschedule. You will be notified of the time available and will be advised to reschedule your appointment if necessary. We appreciate your cooperation on this matter.
After Hours
If it is an emergency, please call 911.
If it is not an emergency, please call our office for questions or problems related to your child.
If a pediatrician is necessary, the nurse or the answering service will page the doctor on call. If the nurse determines that your child needs immediate medical attention, he or she will direct you to the nearest emergency room or Urgent Care at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
If you have not heard from a nurse within 20 minutes, please call back.
For non-urgent questions or requests, you can also reach our clinical staff through the Patient Portal.
Payment and Insurance
Our office participates in numerous insurance plans. Please call our office to inquire about participation with your specific insurance plan.
The responsibility for payment of fees is the direct obligation of a patient’s parent or guardian. We will file insurance claims with you insurance company if the plan is one in which we participate.
However, please remember that insurance is a way to reimburse the patient and not a substitute for payment. Deductibles, co-pays and balances not paid by your insurance company are your responsibility. It is also your responsibility to verify your coverage under your plan so that you know what services your policy covers.
